SemanticDrift collects no personal data. We have no servers, no analytics, and no ads. No third-party services are used of any kind beyond optional Apple services (CloudKit and Game Center).

Our Privacy Commitment


What Data We Collect

Gameplay Data (Local Only)

All gameplay data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We never send this data to our servers because we don’t have any servers.

Game Center Data (Managed by Apple)

If you choose to use Game Center:

This data is managed entirely by Apple through Game Center. We don’t collect or store it, Apple does according to their privacy policy.

Purchase Data (Managed by Apple)

If you make an in-app purchase:

This data is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We only check if you have an active purchase, we never see payment information or identifying information.


Apple Services We Use

Game Center (Optional)

Used for achievements, leaderboards, and online multiplayer. You can choose whether to sign in.

StoreKit 2 (In-App Purchases)

Used for premium upgrade purchases. Apple handles all payment processing.

We never see your payment details or identifying information, only whether you have an active purchase.

CloudKit (Premium Feature)

Used for syncing game data across your devices if you have premium.

Data syncs to your private iCloud account only. We cannot access it.

NaturalLanguage Framework

Used for word embedding calculations that power the game.

All processing happens entirely on your device. No words or guesses are sent anywhere.

MultipeerConnectivity (Local Multiplayer)

Used for local multiplayer games with nearby players.

Your nickname and game actions are shared directly with other players over local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No data passes through our servers or the internet.


Third-Party Services

SemanticDrift does not use any third-party services:

The only external services are Apple’s services listed above.


Your Rights & Data Control

Access Your Data

All your game data is stored locally on your device. You can view it anytime through the app’s interface.

Delete Your Data

You can delete your data in two ways:

  1. In-App Reset - Go to Settings > Reset All Data
  2. Delete the App - Deleting SemanticDrift from your device removes all local data

For Game Center or purchase data, manage through your Apple ID settings.

Export Your Data

Your game history and statistics are visible in the app. Premium users can access synced data through iCloud.com.
